The Chautauqua Tradition

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Chautauqua assemblies were a popular way for intellectual, political, cultural, and creative thinkers to share new ideas and deep knowledge. Away from the distractions of city life, subject-matter experts were able to delve deeply into their pursuits and connect with other intellectuals. U. S. President Theodore Roosevelt said that Chautauqua was “the most American thing in America.”

The tradition of Chautauqua inspires our firm’s intellectual curiosity and collaborative approach. It also motivates us to provide “old fashioned” client service.
