Brian Beitner, CFA

Managing Partner

Brian BeitnerMr. Beitner formed Chautauqua Capital Management in January 2009. Prior to this, he was a member of the TCW Concentrated Core Equities portfolio management team from 1998, which was responsible for the management of up to $27 billion in assets. In 1999, he was named Director of Equity Research and Lead Portfolio Manager of research-based portfolios.

In 2003, he became a Senior Equity Strategist. In 2005, Mr. Beitner began managing International and Global Equity portfolios. Prior to working at Trust Company of the West, he worked with Scudder Kemper Investments; Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette; Bear Stearns & Co.; and Security Pacific Bank in roles including portfolio management, research, and trading.

He earned a BS in Public Administration and an MBA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He holds a certificate for Global Investing from INSEAD. He received his CFA charter in 1989.

John F. Lynch, CFA

Partner, Chief Operating Officer

John F. Lynch Prior to joining Chautauqua Capital Management in 2009, Mr. Lynch was an Institutional Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton Investments where he focused on global and non-US equity strategies.

Before that, Mr. Lynch worked for Merrill Lynch, BGI, and Scudder, Stevens & Clark serving in a number of capacities relating to institutional investment and pension management. Mr. Lynch started his investment management career in 1989.

He holds a BA in Geology from Denison University, and an MBA from the University of Denver. Mr. Lynch has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Michael T. Mow, CFA

Partner

Michael T. MowPrior to joining Chautauqua Capital Management in 2009, Mr. Mow spent eight years as a Senior Investment Analyst at American Century Investments where he served on Ultra, a large cap growth fund and the company’s flagship product.

Before that, he was a Vice President at Trust Company of the West where during his seven-year tenure, he was an equity analyst. Mr. Mow began his investment career at Farmer’s Insurance Group where he served in a number of capacities, most recently as Portfolio Manager. Prior to that he worked for Abbott Laboratories.

He holds a BA from California State University, Northridge, an MS in Pharmacology from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He has been a CFA charterholder since 1989.

Amanda Prentiss

Partner

Amanda PrentissBefore joining Chautauqua Capital in 2009, Ms. Prentiss was a strategist/economist for Trust Company of the West, producing a market overview publication for institutional investors. Before that, she spent several years as a Vice President and Director of Fixed Income at TD Securities in London where she focused on emerging market and structured credit transactions.

Before joining TD Securities, Ms. Prentiss was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London and Frankfurt. She advised institutional investors on their specific fixed income holdings as well as their macro-economic outlooks. She spent her last two years at Goldman Sachs specializing in emerging markets. Ms Prentiss began her career in Germany working on the trading desk at HypoVereinsbank in Frankfurt.

She holds a BS and an MA in Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa designation. She is a member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals.
